The dasc-as compliments the ground based dasc by performing the airborne mission; the dasc-as can also be used as a forward element of the dasc system; when necessary it can assume the functions of a deep battle management cell; the dasc-as consists of one specially modified s-280/g shelter that can be transported and operated in a specially modified kc-130 aircraft; seven operators withinthe dasc-as can select from seven radio (3 uhf, 2hf, 1vhf, 1 satcom)inside the shelter; the system interfaces with current and planned marine corps command and control(c2) systems
